Dental implants are the best choice for you if you want to make up for one or more lost teeth. By installing dental implants in place of lost teeth, you avoid grinding healthy teeth and thus prolong their life. By installing implants, we will enable you to get a fixed work that will give you the closest feeling to your natural teeth.

Many people know the bridge as one of the solutions to the problem of missing missing teeth. However, when it comes to the situation that there is no healthy tooth on which the rest of the low tooth can be hung on the bridge, it is necessary to install an implant. The implant is, in the vernacular, the most similar to a screw, that is. screw a represents the artificial root of the tooth, which is screwed directly into the bone and on which an artificial dental crown is then placed.

In order to take the shape of a real tooth, the crown must be screwed into the bearing that is placed under the gums and it cannot be seen with the naked eye.

In our dental office, the success of these operations is more than 95%, so there is no reason to worry. Within a few days after the implant is placed, you will have a backlash from the body – whether the implant will be accepted or not.

It is important to check the general condition of the patient beforehand, and then perform a procedure that does not last long and is performed under local anesthesia. The installation of the implant itself takes only 10 minutes and is a completely safe and painless intervention. After implantation, a certain period of time is waited for the implant to “bind” to the bone (from 2 to 4 months), after which the prosthetic phase is approached, where you get a definite fixed work of metal-free crowns or metal-ceramic crowns. that a great loss of teeth should happen, and you must not allow that. However, there is no reason to despair, because the implant can replace the lack of natural teeth, both teeth affected by gangrene and those that have suffered due to physical injury.

Installing implants means permanently solving the problem, especially since it involves bonding the entire structure to the jaw.

Regular visits of the patient to the dentist and consultations with him will help to make the installation of dental implants almost not felt.

When there are diseases of a systemic nature, it is certain that the problem will be better solved by replacing the potentially problematic one or more teeth. That is why there are implantology and dental implants. To help you and save you.

We have perfected the implantation of dental implants in our dental practice, and even if you do not have the conditions for implant placement due to insufficient height and width of the bone, we will simply solve this problem by installing an artificial one which will create all the necessary conditions for dental implant placement.

If periodontal surgery and implantation of artificial bone is indicated, during the installation of the dental implant, everything ends in one intervention, so you do not have to schedule more visits, but we finish everything in one day.

At the request of patients, we also install mini-implants for teeth, which serve to stabilize and retain your total dentures. Mini dental implants are thin and long dental implants that are placed in the front of your lower or upper jaw.

As with any health problem, it is necessary to diagnose the condition in which our oral health is. Therefore, the precondition for everything is not to become a candidate for an implant. This is achieved through regular check-ups, oral hygiene and maintaining healthy habits. But if things go wrong, it is enough to start with a systematic oral examination that will determine whether your toothlessness is so advanced that it is necessary to make an implant.

Patients often come to the dentist for aesthetic reasons, so they should first be guided by what they actually want. Not everyone knows about dental implants equally, and sometimes patients just want to have an implant. Sometimes, due to the patient’s wishes, the possibility of accessing other methods is omitted, so if you want implants to be installed, first consult with the dentist if you really need them. Our dental practice offers you free consultations on these issues.

It is very important to know that the orthopedic image is very important when it comes to perceiving the situation in the mouth. The image, which looks at the overall condition of the mouth from several angles, will make it better to solve the problem of implant placement. Problems that can occur are the lack of the amount of the jawbone, which means the correction of the jawbone itself. Of course, this should not scare you because these are exceptions, not rules. The analysis of the orthopanic image determines the factual situation.

In order to start implant placement, it is necessary to repair all possible defects, caries, dental diseases and see if periodontitis may be prevented along the way.

Overall body condition, health balance, and other diseases can also contribute to dental implants not being able to be implanted. We understand that serious illnesses and bad habits can cause problems because a small percentage of implants may not integrate. Habits such as alcohol or cigarettes contribute to this.

The question is often asked how many dental implants actually need to be installed, and this question is rightly asked. People don’t really like interventions and operations, so we inform you that it is not necessary to always install an implant when a tooth is missing. However, in order to determine how many teeth are really needed, a treatment plan must be made, which is decided by the dentist.

It is desirable and recommended that the implant procedure, from the production of the prosthetic part to the implantation, is performed by one doctor, in order to have an overall insight into the situation.

The installation of dental implants is a permanent solution because they are structurally attached to the jaw bone. However, this is only one of the advantages of installing dental implants.

There are countless benefits to having a dental implant installed. When unplanned tooth loss occurs, whether due to injury or malfunction, it is necessary to somehow train the jaw for chewing. Apart from the functionality of the teeth, we will agree, the aesthetic element is very important. That is why it is very important to think on time. But even when you lose a tooth, not everything is lost forever. One dental implant can save almost the entire jaw by putting a bridge on it, which will be connected to the first next whole tooth.

If you lose one or more teeth, chewing food will be difficult and this will further negatively affect some other functions of the body, such as digestion.

Also, when you miss a tooth, when you chew, the jawbone wears out due to excessive load, and since it supports the facial muscles, the face gets an aging look, which leads to functional and aesthetic problems. Speaking of the aesthetic factor, if you have lost some of the front teeth, it should be noted that implants with crowns today look like natural teeth and the difference is imperceptible.

If you are missing one tooth, it is much better to install a dental implant than to place an artificial tooth by grinding the adjacent teeth. If you are missing more teeth (or even all), it is possible to install dental implants that will serve as supports for the dental bridge.

The process of implant placement is preceded by determining the condition in the patient’s mouth, by doing a 2D or 3D orthopedic image. Any complications that may occur in the sinus cavities are prevented by a 3D orthopedic image showing the exact position of the bone and possibly the implant.

If necessary, a piece of bone is inserted into the sinus to expand it, when there is not enough. The implant placement procedure takes time, so certain conditions must be met. Under normal circumstances, this procedure takes about 15 minutes to half an hour. Of course, if more screws are installed in the bone, the procedure takes several hours.

In order to determine the condition, the patient comes for a check-up the next day. If everything is found to be in order, the next four months are waiting for the screw to be inserted into the jaw and the jaw to accept it. When it comes to complete toothlessness, dentists provide temporary dentures.

After four months, the shapes and shades of the teeth are agreed with the dentist, and then it is placed on the screw between the space called the abutment. Mounting of the tooth and the finished tooth is expected 15 days later.

Dental implants and crowns need to be maintained in the same way as real teeth, and you will get used to them very quickly. Unlike an artificial tooth, a natural tooth can defend itself for a while. Because bacteria also attack artificial teeth, they need to be brushed more often. Bacteria from an artificial tooth can attack the gums, and plaque can remain on the abutment, as a product of tartar and bacteria.

Of course you are interested in the answer to this question. Who wouldn’t. It is a longer-term process, so we will try to explain.

After drilling the jawbone and installing the screw, special processes occur that are not the simplest. Namely, the bone tissue of the jaw must merge with a foreign body. It is a process of biointegration that involves the formation of new bone that is in contact with titanium. This process takes place in two phases.

The first stage of healing is called the callus formation phase. During this phase, a callus is formed which aims to fill the cavity between the implant and the bone.

The second stage of healing is called the bone remodeling phase. In this phase, there is a definite modeling of the bone, adhesion and construction of its shape. In this way, the implants are finally joined and stability is achieved. Of course, after that there is a process of recovery, but also the production of prosthetic work. We have already mentioned that this process takes an average of 4 months. Namely, in the lower jaw, the bone heals faster, while in the upper jaw it happens that the process lasts up to 6 months.

When dental implants are placed in the jaw, a period of habituation occurs. In addition, it is logical, as we have not already taken care of natural teeth, that in a certain way we must dedicate ourselves to the maintenance of implants. This is an issue that is of great importance, but many ignore it. Not enough attention is paid to this issue, nor is it asked by those who care.

Although the implants themselves do not need maintenance as with real teeth, it is logical that oral hygiene is required. The dental implant blocks the gums, so they are not visible. From the moment the implant rests on the jaw and becomes an integrated part of it, maintaining hygiene is just as important.

If dental plaque, bacteria or tartar remain at the junction of the crown and the abutment, it is easy for gingivitis to occur. Unlike a natural tooth, an artificial tooth does not have the ability to defend itself. The biggest cause of gingivitis is poor hygiene.

Since integrated teeth become a part of the organism that you will wear for the rest of your life, it is a better option for the abutment to be made separately for each tooth, than to use it at the factory.

After the installation of teeth, we must hold a short training for proper hygiene of implants and dentures.

Maintaining dental hygiene, regular brushing as well as flossing are important segments of maintaining hygiene.

Dental implants have an unlimited shelf life. At least that’s how it should be. But if we look at it that way, the teeth should last forever. If we treat them properly.

Dental problems are mainly caused by negligence or intemperance. Improper hygiene is the main reason for not having teeth, and then avoiding examinations, neglecting your health.

After the loss of a tooth and when the implant placement is complete, your perception should be different, and you should dedicate yourself to them. Therefore, eating habits, hygiene, but also the attitude towards the dentist, can be crucial when it comes to the duration of the implant. The answer to the question of how long implants can last lies in your habits. Once the implant is placed in the bone, with proper maintenance, it should last a lifetime.

“All on 4” is a therapeutic concept, which uses four implants to repair complete jawless toothlessness.

It can be used in both the upper and lower jaw and is a concept that is exclusively designed for the rehabilitation of jaws in which there has been bone loss – bone resorption due to long-term toothlessness.

It is indicated most often in older patients, although it is also used in younger patients when it is indicated.

Of course, when there are conditions to put 6 implants in the upper jaw, it should be done rather than “All on 4”.

The “All on 4” concept involves the installation of two straight implants and two at an angle, and later prosthetic work is placed on these implants in the prosthetic phase, which is retinated with screws.

As for the type of prosthetic works, the choice is wide, from metal-ceramic crowns, metal-free crowns, biohapp constructions, to titanium and acrylic constructions.

The use of magnifiers in dentistry has almost become the standard in recent years. In dental practice, magnifiers magnifying 2 to 6 times are most often used.

In our office, we use magnifiers in our daily work, which significantly helps us increase the success of our interventions.
